How to start sending webstamps
To start sending webstamps you will need to:
- Register a webstamp account
- Buy webstamps
- Install a webstamp add-in on your PC

Is it secure to buy and send webstamps?
When you buy webstamps the communication with our server is encrypted (using ”https”). This technique is used by most internet banks and web shops. We use the payment solution from DIBS, which is the leading payment gateway in Scandinavia. We have signed all our software which means you can be sure it is our software you install.
How do I get my password?
If you have forgot your login details it's possible to reset your password.
Please note:
- It may take some time before you get the email with the new password
- If you get no email please check the spam folder in your email program
- If you still get no password, please register a new webstamp account or contact Webstamp's customer support
How do I unregister my webstamp account?
Contact Webstamp's customer support if you want to unregister your webstamp account. Please note that your webstamps will be deleted and your account will be lost.

What are the requirements on my computer?
You will need a PC with Windows 7, Vista or XP with access to the Internet.
What email programs can I use to send webstamps?

What email format to use when sending webstamps?
Webstamp's Add-in does not support adding webstamps in emails with plain text format. Additional supported formats and required settings are listed below per Webstamp Add-in.
Outlook
To stamp emails with webstamps in Outlook, you must use only HTML format for your emails. To verify or change the settings, go to "Tools", "Options", "Mail Format", and change message format to "HTML".
Gmail and Hotmail with Internet Explorer
To stamp emails with webstamps in Gmail/Hotmail, you must use only RTF (Rich Text Format) for your emails. Do not change from RTF to plain text when replying to or composing new emails.
The default format for sending emails in both Gmail and Hotmail is RTF.
Windows Mail
To stamp emails with webstamps in Windows Mail, you must use only HTML format for your emails. To verify or change the settings, go to "Tools", "Options", "Send", and click HTML-settings under Mail sending format.
Why are there no webstamps in my emails?
There are a couple of potential reasons why:
- A spam filter thinks the email is spam
- The email program of the receiver is set not to show pictures
- A mail server stops the email
Why does not the receiver get my webstamps?
Please note it may take some time to send and receive an email. That is how the Internet works. The receiver may have a spam filter that has blocked your email.
Sending webstamps with Outlook
My add-in does not work anymore
First of all make sure only one instance of Outlook is runing, which may happen in Widnows sometimes. To check this, use the task manager on your computer.
If you use Outlook 2007 on Vista
Vista users with Outlook 2007 may also check
- ”Help” menu, ”Disabled items.” If the webstamp add-in is deactivated, please activate it.
- ”Tools” menu, ”Trust center,” the tab ”Add in”. Click on the "WebstampAddin" to activate it.
If this does not help, please restart your PC and try again.
Issue using Webstamp with Outlook 2003 on Vista
It is a known bug that Microsoft Outlook 2003 add-ins does not work on Windows Vista when UAC is turned off. To solve this, turn on UAC and restart your computer. Go to Tools, Options, Other, Advanced and COM add-ins. If Webstamp Organizer is listed as a disabled item, activate it.

Sending webstamps with Windows Mail does not work
The default setting in Windows Mail is to restrict images in emails. To be able to use Webstamp's Add-in, you have to change this setting. Go to "Tools", choose "Options", then "Security" and uncheck "Block images and other external content in HTML emails"
Sending webstamps in Gmail and Hotmail
Can I send emails in Hotmail using Internet Explorer 8 without getting an error message regarding the XSS filter?
In Internet Explorer 8 there is a so called XSS filter that tries to detect harmful programs on webb sites. This filter may sometimes show error codes incorrectly. It is easy to disable the filter and it will not affact how websites are experienced in your browser.
- Go to the ”Tools” menu
- Choose ”Internet Options”
- Click on the tab ”Security”
- Choose ”Custom Level”
- Go to ”Script”
- Chose to ”Disable” the XSS filter and click ”OK”
- Answer yes to the question if you want to save the settings
- Click ”OK” to close the dialogue box and continue to use Internet Explorer
